It turns out that a small home network has many of the same security issues that a large corporate network does. You can use a firewall to protect your home network from offensive sites and potential hajckers' attacks. Using a properly configured firewall will protect you against trojan horses, attackes, haijckers and potential new threats - as it mainly blocks suspicious files, networks, programs and pockets from accessing your computer or contacting a remote server.
